Tonight we held our "Reach For The Stars" night for our PK, K and 1st grade students and family members. Parents were treated to a few minutes of listening to their child talk about what they want to be when they grow up. Afterwards, Mrs. Sallye Hardy spoke to parents about how to engage their children into 'reaching for the stars'. She gave ideas on how to help support and encourage those dreams.
While the parents were in that session, the students went down to the gym where several folks were there to talk about their professions: The Lohr Family (Farmers/Agriculture), Mr. Blake Wenger (Engineering), Officer Charlie Lutz (Resource officer for RCPS) and Miss Grim (teacher). Afterwards there was time to play games and rotate stations.
When all the sessions were complete, there was a delicious meal for everyone in the cafeteria provided by Rockingham County 4-H Interstate Exchange.
A huge shout-out to Mrs. Hardy, as well as, visitors, staff members, 4-H members and others for a successful evening!
